(RTTNews) - Fox’s new show “Lone Star” has been dropped after its second episode due to poor ratings. In its debut, “Lone Star” averaged a 1.3 rating for adults ages 18-49 and dropped to 1.0 for Monday’s second episode, according to Nielsen.
Overall, the “Lone Star” premiere pulled in 4.1 million viewers. The audience for last night’s installment slipped to just 3.7 million.
The show stars James Wolk and Jon Voight and chronicles the life of a con man (Wolk) who struggles to maintain two separate lives. “Lone Star” earned critical praise after its debut but audiences were seemingly not interested.
The show aired behind “House,” Fox’s third-highest-rated show and highest-rated drama.
“Lie To Me,” starring Tim Roth, which was slated to run on Wednesdays, will now take over the vacated slot. It begins next week with its third-season premiere.
